Aidan and I set out on our first geocaching adventure tonight. Equip with Rachel's iPhone and a new application we headed down to the wooded area behind a local park to hunt for our first treasure.
We found the general area...

a shovel someone conveniently left for us to use...

and learned a few things:
1. Leave Logan at home--Rachel was not feeling well so we took the little guy along. Rumbling through the woods with an eight month old is tricky though he seemed to be loving the trek as much as his big brother. When it came to digging in the right spot though I was two arms short and not able to assist. We opted to come back another day to finish the job.
2. Dress for the hunt--Not only did I bring the baby...I wore sandals and shorts. I now have two very nice, no longer bleeding, scratches on my right leg. Next time I'll wear better shoes and protect all my parts.
3. Aidan's jacked up for more hunting--There's a ton of hidden caches nearby and back home near the grandparent's house. We will be back on the trail of new hidden goodies very soon.
